Green Clean

What does Green Clean Mean?  To clean green is to use products and processes that reduce the environmental and health effects of housekeeping on both the indoor and outdoor environments.
 
Our commitment is to our customers, our employee’s and our environment. Cleaning green is a safer alternative to using harsh chemicals. There are many products readily available on the market today at a cost comparable to other chemical cleaning products.
 
There is also a health benefit to green cleaning. Studies show that improved practices could greatly reduce dust, bacteria, fungi and volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) which reduces illness and absenteeism in cleaning professionals. Environmentally friendly cleaning products help improve indoor air quality and reduce the health problems that traditional products cause. Residents, building occupants, visitors and staff experience fewer incidents of skin, eye and respiratory irritations or burns; allergies; multiple-chemical sensitivities; headaches; nausea or other gastrointestinal ailments; poisoning; cancer; reproductive hazards and/or damage to internal organs. Or, try these homemade products for in-between cleans.
 
Baking Soda on a damp sponge cleans and deodorizes all kitchen and bathroom surfaces.
 
All Purpose Cleaner and Disinfectant: 2 TBS Borax, ¼ c. lemon juice and 2 cups hot water. Combine in a spray bottle and use as you would any commercial all purpose cleaner.
 
No Streak Glass Cleaner: ¼ cup white vinegar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 1 qt. warm water

Mix ingredients and pour in spray bottle and spray on. Wipe with crumpled newspapers for a
lint free, streak free shine.
 
Toilet Bowl Cleaner: Sprinkle baking soda into the bowl, then squirt with vinegar and scour with a toilet brush. Cleans and deodorizes.
